Setting: Driving home after eight hours of church, practices, dance shows, and clean-up from all of the above.
(Sound on the road): CA-THUNK!
Me: (joking) Boy, I sure hope that wasn't something important falling off the car!
Family: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
(several moments pass)
Me: Um, actually, I think that was something important falling off the car.
Family: (somewhat uncomfortably) Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha........ ha?
Wife: Are you serious?
Me: Um, yep. I can't steer.
Family: (sound effect: screaming.)

I find it interesting that Gregg called me in a somewhat frantic yet amusing call to see if I could pick them up and take them home since their van "died." Of course I said sure; where are you? His response was, " We are at Fantasy Coachworks" on Lindbergh. What better place for a "coach/van to die"?

not sure if this is funny or not....I am inclined to laugh, and guess that since all of you are "ok", I can laugh?
BTW.....I got the "Raising Sand" cd in my stocking from St. Nick. It's cool! Thought I'd share my new favorite artist with you....check it out:

I swear I had to laugh - since you posted no major accident I am sure you are are okay - the sound effect played in my mind as I read it, and totally picked up my morning.
p.s
we didn't even bother with the tour of the gibson factory - he just wanted to walk around the guitars and play them all - so thats what we did. One of the best memories of my life his face when he picked them up to play them.
