I took this shot of my youngest daughter, Rachel, as she was playing this afternoon. I had looked in on her since she was being frighteningly quiet. Those of you who know her know that this state is usually only achieved by her if she is sleeping - or doing something she shouldn't!
This time, to my surprise, she was simply quietly playing on the floor of her room. The vantage point for this photo was the stairway leading down to her room. Apparently, a critical portion of her outfit for this play session was a set of fairy wings!
"Costume" changes are a constant in this chameleon's life. After this photo was taken in mid-afternoon, she also donned a vinyl go-go outfit, a Baby-Bop costume, complete with tail, headpiece (with ears!), and a striped scarf (it's winter, after-all). Later still, she selected a totally different dress than the one in this photo, and strapped on a pair of fancy white shoes to her feet that were several sizes too big, to go to a school dance.
This kid needs her own wardrobe department.

That sure looks like fun! Wish I could don some fairy wings while I do housework... might make it a little more enjoyable!
