Fortune Cookie Quote of the Day

Today at work, my friend Gary came to my area clutching a small slip of paper. He indicated that it was the fortune from a fortune cookie he got at lunch. It read, "You are surrounded by friends that will be there when you need them."

Actually, that wasn't exactlywhat the cookie read, but I forgot. I will probably be reminded tomorrow and then I'll fix the post! He then turned to some other people standing there and said, "Well, where were you guys last night when I had to stay late and you all just disappeared?" To which my friend Tom replied with the following Quote of the Day worthy line:

"Fortune Cookies aren't retroactive."

So, congratulations, Tom, for making the "One Dad's Life Quote of the Day Roster!"
