So, clearly I've talked about Christmas a lot the last couple of weeks. I say this, because I sent my web address to a place called http://www.wordle.net/ that takes a look at your frequent words, sizes them by frequency, and arranges them neatly in a nice little graphic!
Look at the thumbnail image below, clearly "CHRISTMAS" was the dominant word. You owe it to yourself to click on the thumbnail to see the full-size version. It is very nearly art!
Oh, and while we are talking, I just wanted to thank you for all your concern over my exterior Christmas lights and all the stress not having them up and not being able to find the EXACT RIGHT LIGHTS was causing me.
I ended up going with the Target label LED icicle lights. I'll have to admit they look good on the house...very good. I'm still disappointed that the drop on them isn't that long. This means I can't see them from INSIDE the house through my windows. My wife tells me that SHE can see them from many of our windows, but she's short. That makes her angle of view a bit different. I can only really see them in one window, while standing. If I walk around the house on my knees, I can see more, I agree!
Also, on Sunday afternoon, we just about completed all the rest of the outside lighting. We've got reindeer, candy-canes, little trees, and a red sleigh! In fact, I plugged it all in just before the timer clicked over to turn the circuit on! I'm pretty sure you can see our house from space, now. The excitement was relatively short-lived, though. We went to a Christmas concert, and right after we returned (in the rain), the lights went out. It seems that somewhere along the line, we have a ground fault as the GFI is tripping. I must have a plug in muddy water, or something. Maybe once it all freezes things will work again!
So, just 24 hours after starting the exterior lighting project...it is off.
Again.
Christmas lights drive me bonkers, but life just isn't the same without them!
By the way, since the Christmas lights are out at the time of this writing, I can't show you a picture of them. So, I've included one of the shots I took on Saturday morning while we were helping out at the Christmas Tree lot operated by our church's men's club. They support our church's theater group and many other organizations in a very generous way, so we signed up to help! It was a lot of fun, even though the morning was cold. Early in the morning, business was slow, so I spent a lot of time trying to prove Mochamomma wrong. She made a comment to me that (paraphrased) since it was a gray and dreary morning, you couldn't get any beautiful pictures. She also had a problem with a bunch of crows flying around her as being ominous. I said she missed a photo opportunity! I couldn't find any crows, but I did find a BUNCH of pigeons! So, I was running around the parking lot like a crazy person, trying to get a shot of all the pigeons flying against the gray sky. I didn't do too good of a job, but this picture is probably among the best I got. Click on the picture for a much better view! I cropped out a bunch of buildings and power lines, hence the somewhat wide aspect ratio.
I also made this "artistic" picture out in my yard when I let the dog out on Saturday morning. I think it is pretty cool! I wasn't even dressed, yet, so it was a good start for the day. I took nearly 500 pictures this weekend, which will take me a while to go through, I'm sure.
On our way home from all the Saturday activities, went to Kenrick's to get a roast for the weekend. While we were there, we ordered a Choice Beef Tenderloin, for our Christmas Day dinner. And no....we aren't looking to adopt any of you!
Life is good...even on the gray days!

I got tired of never seeing the Christmas lights we put on the front porch and roofline, so several years ago I started putting them on the deck. I can see them perfectly from the kitchen window, and that makes me happy.
