We have an old house with beautiful original wood windows. Every year I laugh at a number of "home improvement" people wanted to sell me windows to replace these old windows. It's never going to happen, people!
I don't like covering up these windows with curtains, so most of our windows don't have any covering, our front windows have wood blinds that don't cover all the wood, and our bedroom has these gauzy curtains that allow you to see the frames. One morning, as I was getting ready for work, I noticed the light coming in one of the northern bedroom windows and grabbed these shots. I'm not sure which I like better, so you get both! Taken with a Nikon D60.
My parents just replaced the windows in their 100+ year old house. It just isn't the same! But, it was amazing looking at these HUGE weights that were pulled out from the old windows. Crazy stuff.

I love light filtering through gauzy window coverings, invites one to linger in the bed a little longer. And your right, the wood frames it beautifully. Here’s my WW hope you can stop by!
