I don't get texting. That must be proof I'm getting old.

I luv me some vampire fiction but for some reason I haven't read any of those books. Oh, I'm sure I'll get around to it eventually but for now I'll pass. In the meantime, I sure feel like an outsider for not having read them.

hannah

haha. we weren't texting about twilight!it was about being busy and rebuilding a wall in your kitchen. :D

Rebecca

FYI the text that night was an on-going debate between four of my friends and me about the Presidential Election! Yeah everyone really underestimates what is going on in the mind of teens these days don't they!

Ok, I'm about to sell out the sisterhood here. I just read Twilight and the second book. Not a fan. I know a number of women, my age and older who LOVE these books. I'm sorry, they're just not good. I'm going to continue on because I hear that the most recent book is a trainwreck and I'm kind of looking forward to that.

But this is my new favorite thing: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=16622096

Sorry sisters, I got on the Harry Potter train but Twilight? No thanks. And the film looks even worse because then you can actually see and hear the terrible terrible writing.

Sarah Kempf

ok, so I had to ask about this "Twilight" novel and according the Hannah I am the ONLY girl who hasn't read it or heard of it. I guess I am living under a rock.

hannah

yes sarah, you must be! i could not believe you hadnt even heard of it!! i was totally amazed.

Bri

Just to save you from the horror, I will go with Dianne to see Twilight. ;)

I laughed my way through this entire post. I especially enjoyed the twilight part. Having not read the Twilight series, I felt a little judgemental at first. I thought it was funny that a married woman with children had a crush on a teenage vampire until I remembered my whole obsession with the Weasly twins from Harry Potter.

I shared this post with the teenage college students I work with and one of the girls actually said, "Yeah! Twilight Moms are totally weird!"

That just made me laugh harder. When she's in her 30s she may understand...
